Sylvan Hills standout Nick Smith Jr. has turned into one of the 2022 class most sought-after prospects on the board. The 6-foot-5 combo guard is seen as one of the top combo guards in the nation and it has been made evident that he’s alluded himself as a Top-25 prospect in the entire class.

Smith Jr. has begun playing his summer ball for Brad Beal Elite and he’s expected to cap off his AAU career with a major summer on the circuit after dealing with a wrist injury that had him sidelined for the start of the summer ball.

But... he’s back. Smith Jr. returned to the floor this past weekend and was excellent, as you can see here:

Now, Brad Beal Elite heading into Peach Jam gets back one of their lineups premier players and a high-impact prospect in Smith Jr., who discussed his return to the court, along with answering some recruiting questions with Stockrisers.com.

How did it feel to return to the court?

”It felt good going back out there playing with my guys. It’s always fun playing the game I love.”

How do you feel like you performed?

“I feel like I did okay, always room for improvement you know. I’m really just trying to get ready for Peach Jam.”

What was it like to have coaches watching you live again?

“I mean no disrespect to the coaches or anything like that I wasn’t really worried about them (laughs) I was out there having fun and playing with my guys and trying to get prepared.”

Now, which schools are heavily involved in your recruitment?

“Alabama, Kansas, Auburn, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Arkansas, Georgetown, and Ole Miss.”

Any visit plans?

“I pretty much visited most of those schools and some of those are going to be happening my senior year.”

What’s North Carolina’s relationship like with you?

“It’s very cool just talking to Hubert Davis and the staff and they’re just great people. We built a relationship ever since coach Roy retired so yeah it’s cool.”

Alabama? What’s the relationship like with them?

“Same concept. They want me to come in and be a big part of their program and just building a relationship and keeping in contact with each other.”

Now looking forward to the future, you will visit Arkansas and OU. What are you looking for?

“I’ll say I’m just looking forward to what they have to say. They both want me to come in and be a big part of their program as well.”

When would you like to commit?

“After the season.”
