Four-star incoming junior Fletcher Loyer talks early recruitment
When you hear the last name Loyer your first thought, Michigan State’s Foster Loyer. Now, don’t forget this one: Fletcher Loyer. The sharpshooting wing stands at 6-foot-5 and has one of the smoothest, yet most efficient shots in his state of Michigan.
He enrolled in Homestead High School this summer where he will team up with Illinois commit Luke Goode and instantly turn them into one of the top shooting duo’s in the country.
He holds early offers from Toledo, Notre Dame, Mizzou, Utah, Purdue, Nebraska, Denver, and Detroit. This summer, he landed his first high-major offer from an in-state program, not the one his brother attends, the rivalry program: Michigan.
Juwan Howard expected a call from Loyer, who wasn’t able to be contacted till June 15th, and received the call where he offered a scholarship.
“He talked about the Michigan Basketball culture and the family atmosphere and how he thinks my game will fit great with the program,” Loyer told Stockrisers.com.
I asked Loyer if you had to fill out your opponents' scouting report on you, what would it say?
"I’d say I’m a 6-foot-5 two-guard that shoots the ball well. I can make plays for others. I have good court vision. I’m a winner, my teams have always won. That’s something I’m very passionate about."
Finally, I asked Loyer an important question: "How has your brother impacted you on and off the floor"
"My brother has been very helpful throughout my life whether it’s on or off the court. He has taught me a ton about hard work and dedication to the game. We’ve worked out together since we were in elementary school. He’s done everything and more than I could ask for."
