One of the biggest bloomers in the 2027 class hails from Wheeler (Georgia), and his name is Kevin Savage III. The 5-10 guard continues to rise in the current junior class and was recently a standout at Team USA’s fall minicamp.
At Adidas 3SSB this summer, he was named a standout as well and was one of the top-performing guards at the event.
He averaged over 14.5 points per game along with 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. At Session II, Savage was named the Underclassmen MVP.
At the NBA Top-100 camp, Savage averaged 15 points per game and was one of the top guards overall at the event.
The recruitment of Savage continues to see suitors entering the mix. Duke has been in for him before. UConn, which recently landed his teammate Colben Landrew, has talked with him.
He also just took an official visit to Cincinnati and told Stockrisers.com he has another visit on the mend, and discussed it here:
Which schools are heavily involved?
”Right now, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ole Miss, Purdue, Auburn, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Florida State.”
How was the Cincinnati visit, and your overall thoughts on them?
”Cincinnati was good overall. I got a chance to meet the coaching staff in person and build a relationship with Coach Miller. Overall, the football game I went to was crazy, the fans were going crazy, and I can see that Cincinnati has a good community for sports.”
How about Oklahoma?
”Starting to build a relationship with Coach Scott, seeing the success with previous guards like Jeremiah Fears, Trae Young, definitely shows Coach Moser does really well with his point guards.”
How about your hometown school, Georgia?
”Being from Georgia and having your hometown recruit you is definitely great. Coach White and the staff believe I can make an impact on the team right away. Having a Game Elite native, Jeremiah Wilkinson, is good to see that we both come from the same program.”
Any other visits in the works?
”I’m going up to Ole Miss on November 1st and working on Purdue, other than that no.”
