The DMV has become a pipeline for point guards over the last few years, and Grace Bethren Christian High School (Maryland) guard J’Lon Lyons is among the ones up next.

The four-star junior is a 6-foot-3 prospect, but he is known for his explosiveness and ability to erupt at the rim.

Lyons made a name for himself this summer with New World on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, averaging 13.5 points, 3.5 assists, three rebounds, and two steals. He was effective on both ends of the floor and continues to grow.

One college coach I spoke with believes that Lyons could be a major riser in the 2027 class and that it will be a race till the very end to land his talents.

He spoke with Stockrisers.com about his recruitment and the current status of the recruitment process amid the influx of programs in the mix.
