The fall is here, which means college commitments are on the way.

Four-star forward and Jeffersonville, IN native and Top-50 senior Tre Singleton is prepared to make his college decision.

“In a week or two,” Singleton said as far as a timeline for a commitment.

Singleton averaged 14.5 points and 7.2 boards on an astounding 61% shooting for Jeffersonville last season. Obviously, he’s active around the rim with a strong frame and high motor, but he’s plenty more than just some muscle and athleticism.

He focuses on Northwestern, Louisville, Purdue, Virginia, Notre Dame, and Clemson.

With his commitment coming soon, he discussed his finalists and his game with Stockrisers.com.

How would you break Purdue, and what was Painter’s pitch to you?

“It’s a good school with outstanding academics and a lovely campus. His pitch was that he could develop me into the pro I dreamed of being, and if I wanted to win games, then Purdue was the place to be.”

How about Louisville? New staff, new culture, thoughts on them?

“Yeah, I like Louisville. They got a new staff full of great dudes, and I loved their culture.”

How about Virginia? Coach Bennett, HOF coach, how do they view you?

“Kind of as a hybrid forward, big wing, be able to guard every position on the floor and just be a matchup nightmare for teams.”

How about Notre Dame, thoughts on Coach Shrews and the staff?

“Coach Shrews is probably one of the top coaches in college basketball right now. And his staff is just as good. Cool people.”

Clemson? They made a run last year; how do you view their program?

“Another excellent program built on great culture. They’re viewed as a football school, but their record over the years proves them to be more than that.”

Northwestern? Thoughts on them and the staff?

“Great staff and even better people, the highest level of academics, and are starting to build something outstanding.”

Visits: Do you have more scheduled?

“I’m going to Notre Dame this weekend, and I’ll go to Virginia, and that’s it.”

And how would you describe your game? For someone who’s never seen it before

“I’d say I’m a versatile forward. I can guard every position and score it at all three levels. And I play hard and outwork everyone else on the floor.”

And how will you look to improve this year?

“I’m looking to rebound better and involve my teammates more.”
