This weekend, NBA personnel and the rest of the nation get to witness the continued rise of 2025 prospect, Jalen Haralson, who is participating in USA Basketball training camp. Haralson has been a bloomer all year after putting the world on notice during his freshman campaign in 2021-22.

Now?

It’s been quite the sophomore campaign for the Top-10 sophomore and Fishers, Indiana native.

When Stockrisers.com saw him at his preseason high school combine, you just knew he was bound for success in his second high school season. Haralson is averaging nearly 24 points, 7.5 boards, and four assists per game.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore is going to be a consensus Top-10 recruit and is one of the best athletes in the entire class. He’s more than an athlete though. Haralson can defend and play multiple positions and run the floor, his handle continues to get more fluid, and he’s also a legit shooting threat.

Haralson’s emergence really began last year when he earned his first division one scholarship offer at the age of 14. He’s just scratching the surface and is continuing to establish his spot as one of the best sophomores in the entire country.

On top of being a USA Basketball participant, he’s also been competing on the NIKE EYBL 17U circuit as a sophomore, playing with the Indy Heat, and he hasn’t disappointed – nailing several 20+ point games and being a big part of Indy Heat’s rotation.

His recruitment has been a clear reflection of his stellar play, and he talked about the schools in the mix with Stockrisers.com.

Which schools do you feel are the most involved in your recruitment?

“Indiana, Gonzaga, Duke, Purdue, UConn, Iowa, Auburn, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and some others.”

Any new schools?

“No, not really. Every school has been recruiting me for a lengthy time now.”

What’s Gonzaga’s pitch, and your thoughts on them?

“They love how I operate in the ball screen game. Gonzaga has a guard-based offense that sets the other four players on the floor up for success and I’m one of the best in my class at setting others up.”

How about Duke? What has Coach Scheyer pitched and what are your thoughts on Duke?

“Coach Scheyer is really impressed with my ball skills and competitive nature. They recruit winners at Duke and he made it known I was a priority for them.”

The defending champs, UConn, how much interest is there and what’s the pitch?

“I talked to Coach Moore several times and they love Midwest kids and the fire that we play with. They started showing interest before I played a high school game, so they have been showing interest for a while now.”

Visits, you can start taking officials soon, any schools on your mind?

“Every school that’s heavily in touch with me has had a conversation about an official visit. I don’t know what schools yet, but be ready for me to take them when I am allowed to.”

And how would you best break down your game?

“I’m a big guard that can score at all three levels and get my teammates involved. I feel like I’m the best in the country with my size, speed, and IQ.”
