Top-10 sophomore Jaden Bradley talks his recruitment, personal scouting report

After winning his state’s Gatorade Player of the Year [NC], former Cannon HS guard Jaden Bradley announced that he’d be moving out to Bradenton, FL where he’d be attending national powerhouse, IMG Academy. Rumors had flooded for months surrounding what Bradley’s next move would be, now he transfers in hopes of winning the national championship, a feat in which IMG completed two years ago.

Bradley continues to watch film and workout during the past few months. He best describes himself as a ‘pass-first point guard’ and he says ‘I like to get my teammates involved. I Can score and I like to play both ends on the floor’ — Bradley also told Stockrisers.com that he’s watched tons of film on Paul George and Steve Nash.

On June 15th, the contact period opened up. Bradley heard from over 35+ programs varying from all different conferences.

“Some head coaches I’ve talked to are Roy Williams, Jeff Capel, Chris Mack, Nate Oats, Bruce Pearl, Mike Brey. Each coach just wants to build a relationship and get to know me,” Bradley told Stockrisers.com. In addition, he listed UCLA’s Mick Cronin, NC State’s Kevin Keatts, UW’s Mike Hopkins, Kansas’ Bill Self, and Wake Forest’s Steve Forbes.

One of those mentioned coaches, Roy Williams has been making a major push at Bradley, vying to keep North Carolina’s star in the state. Bradley is going a similar route as current Tar Heel, Armando Bacot, who left the state after winning the Gatorade Player of the Year and went to IMG Academy where he won a national title.

Bradley visited UNC for the Duke game and then offered him in the month of March.

On the topic of Duke, Bradley is also receiving interest from the Blue Devils. The staff's top recruiter, Jon Scheyer, is the lead on this one. “They said they can’t wait to see me next year and that they will be watching.” But, Bradley has yet to talk to Mike Krzyzewski, which I expect to change this summer.

The blue blood interest doesn’t stop. Bradley confirmed that he also heard from an assistant at Kentucky. Overall, he said that between Duke and Kentucky, what each coach said was similar. They want to watch him play and will be having a closer look once the season begins and the dead period is lifted.

As far as visits, Bradley says that he has no desire and doesn’t have any surefire visits planned as of right now. He is completing the virtual calls with each program that opts to show him campus via technology.

“I’ve recently had a zoom call with Louisville and got one with Alabama coming up,” he said.

I fully expect more offers to fly in for Bradley.
