I walked into a gym in Bucks County, PA to watch a summer event that featured multiple high-level recruits. I walked in the event, not looking for anyone specific, just knew the amount of talent that was in the building and I ended up finding one of 2023’s hidden gems.

He goes by the name Kachi Nzeh. The 6-foot-8 junior from Upper Darby, PA, attends The George School in PA. He has found himself becoming a vital part of the program’s roster and is currently the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 20.5 points per game.

Most recently, Nzeh finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks, and two steals. He has dominated all season long and has put him in an excellent position to be recruited by high-major programs all across the country.

Raved as the ultimate teammate and was evident when watching him this summer, Nzeh has helped lead The George School to a 12-2 record, alongside 2023 guard Christian Bliss, making them one of the top teams in the state.

Nzeh’s recruitment continues to grow and he discussed that, along with his game, to Stockrisers.com.

Which schools are heavily involved in your recruitment?

“The main schools that are in the pursuit are Penn State, Saint Louis, Illinois, UPenn, UConn, VCU, and Georgia Tech. Those are the main schools that reach out to me the most.”

Have any new schools entered the mix?

“Not really. Saint Louis was the newest addition to the list, but it’s been the same for the most part.”

What’s Penn State’s pitch and your overall thoughts on their program?

“Penn State has really made an effort to build a relationship with me as a player, but at the same time trying to keep it real with me when it comes to what I need to get better on, how would I flow in their offense and the defensive impact. As a program, Penn State is really strong. Coach Shrews has made a statement that he’s a great coach, so I like the program.”

Illinois?

“It’s kind of the same answer as Penn State, but, as a program, Illinois had a lot of talent come out of the school and the coaching staff is very energetic, which I like.”

Thoughts on UConn?

“I think UConn is a great program with a lot of talent. The coaching staff does a great job of developing players and also winning games. They basically told me they need me because of how versatile and fast-paced I am. They also think I’d fit perfectly into the offense.”

Planning visits?

“Yeah, I’m planning for right after our season or this Summer or Spring.”

How would you best describe your game?

“I would describe my game as someone with energy and who’s also versatile. I have the ability to shoot threes, the midrange, and I’m explosive inside. I’m also a huge shot-blocker and defensive rebounder, so I can pretty much do anything.”

And what parts of your game would you like to improve in?

“I need to work on my handles obviously, and my decision making, sometimes I play too fast and I don’t take the time to analyze the situation around me which ends up with me making mistakes.”
