Top-50 rising junior Kaleb Glenn talks his recruitment, planned visits

It was a huge spring and summer for Top-50 rising junior Kaleb Glenn. The Louisville, KY native and 6-foot-6, 210-pound prospect, Glenn burst onto the scene over the last six months and I was able to witness him both prior to his breakout and after.

I watched Glenn in June on about three different occasions and he was impressive in each of the events I watched him play in. He’s got such a high motor and is a clear mismatch at the three if he isn’t slotted into the four. He can shoot the ball from multiple levels, uses his size to get to the rim, and is a plus defender with all the strength he’s got.

With that, he’s now being targeted by some major college programs and will take more visits, I say more because he was able to hit some campuses for visits after the June live period was underway. After his visits are over, he’s straight back to work at Louisville Male High School where he will look to lead his team, once more, to a very successful season.

The Hype around Glenn? Real.

Not just locally, but nationally, coaches are keeping close tabs on Glenn. He has an influx of colleges in the mix for him including Louisville, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas A&M, amongst others. He has scheduled an official visit to College Station to visit A&M and has plans to visit Louisville and Indiana for their respective team events (Louisville Live & Hoosier Hysteria).

He will also be in Tennessee on Sept. 11th for a football game.

So, let’s hear Glenn discuss these suitors with Stockrisers.com.

Which schools are heavily involved?

“Louisville, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas A&M.”

Any newer schools that have shown interest?

“Been talking with Virginia, Ohio State, Michigan, and Arkansas.”

Have any of those programs have serious interest?

“Talking to Ohio State and Virginia more. Looking to visit Ohio State soon.”

Talk Texas A&M, why take a visit to their campus?

“They are the first of many officials I’ll take, but, they are the first one to schedule. But they want me to come and be a very important piece for them, I like them a lot. They are recruiting me hard.”

How about Tennessee and what is their pitch?

“I like Tennessee a lot, they are a good program. They put guys in the league every year and that’s really appealing to me. Their pitch is that they think I’m a top player in my class and think I would benefit from going to their program.”

How about Ohio State, them being new what are your thoughts?

“They tell me they have coached a few players from Louisville and they think I will fit in with them and want me to be the next Louisville player to go there.”

You get to visit Louisville Live for the first time?

“I’m really looking forward to going to Louisville live, I have never been. I’m excited about it.”

Break down your game.

“I like to use my versatility a lot. Depending on the matchup I can shoot the three, take them off the dribble and also go down low and use my low and mid-post-game.”

How do the new NIL rules impact you?

“NIL can be different for me from wherever I go but I don’t think it’ll be a big factor in my decision honestly.”
