Hyattsville, MD native, and DeMatha’s Rodney Rice is down to six programs, he told Stockrisers.com. The 6-foot-4 guard is down to Notre Dame, Georgetown, Maryland, Louisville, Alabama, and Virginia Tech.

He broke down each finalist with Stockrisers.com:

Alabama: ”I like their style of play and how fast their pace is. They get a lot of threes up and I think that’s the strongest part of my game. I have a great connection with the coaching staff as well.”

Virginia Tech: ”I can come in and play lots of minutes. Run the team and play my game. The coaches have done a great job recruiting.”

Louisville: ”Playing in front of 22,000 fans sounds great, their system also fits my game, and the coaching staff and I have a great connection as well as the players there.”

Georgetown: ”I’ve known the coaching staff for a long time because of how far back they’ve been recruiting me. Coach Pat has an NBA mind and experience which would be great to learn from.”

Notre Dame: ”I have a good connection with Coach Brey. He’s been the main recruiter and his spill to me is that I’m the next great PG to come out of Notre Dame. The ball will be in my hands and another opportunity to play my game.”

Maryland: ”Hometown Hero doesn’t sound too bad (laughs) but they’ve been recruiting me since last year so I know the staff. They’ll let me play my game and they like what’ve they’ve seen in me as a player.”
