The DMV is absolutely loaded with talent, from five-star talent all the way to the underrated prospects. Bryce Lindsay is a guard who had tons of attention in the DMV this season and I believe that attention can translate to the national level.

Lindsay attends Baltimore Polytechnic in Maryland and has played around some talented guys, but, always makes a major impact regardless of the role and situation. He’s been able to find his groove over his junior season and that includes very efficient shooting clips and he’s also become a key floor general with a nack to get his teammates involved.

As for his recruitment, he has plenty of programs vying for his talent, with plenty more expected to get involved at some point especially with the summer looming and AAU ball getting underway over the last few weeks.

Lindsay took the time to sit down with Stockrisers.com and discuss his recruitment, here’s how it went.

Which schools are the most heavily involved?

“Purdue, Pittsburgh, and Marquette.”

Any new schools?

“Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Iona, and ETSU all have reached out in the past two weeks.”

Purdue, what are they saying to you and your thoughts on them?

”They send me mail every day and they communicate with my father. I talked with Coach Brantley he said he loves my PG skills and my ability to score the rock. He said they love guards who can shoot. Purdue is a good school on the court and academically. Definitely have my eye on them.”

How about Pittsburgh? What are Coach Capel’s pitch and your thoughts?

”Coach Milan Brown text and calls me almost every day to see how I’m doing. They are setting up a zoom meeting with me and head coach Capel pretty soon. I love how Pittsburgh gets after it on offense and defense they are very tough.”

How about Marquette? Thoughts on the new staff and their pitch?

”Marquette’s new Assistant Coach Dre Haynes contacted me and just informed me that he was the new assistant and he was still going to be recruiting me. Of course, I know a little about Marquette because my guy Justin Lewis attends their school. A lot of defense and pushing the ball.”

Any visits you have planned? Or plan on taking?

”Plan on visiting VCU, Pittsburgh, and Georgetown as of right now.”

When do you plan on committing?

“Next year.”

How would you best describe your game?

“I'm a PG that can score the ball on all three levels efficiently. Very high IQ and great facilitating and playmaking skills. I never get sped up, great patience with the ball, crafty, smooth and shifty. I compare my game to Steph Curry and Trae Young.”
