Four-star junior Seth Trimble discusses his recruitment, season

Underrated.

Seth Trimble defines the word underrated. The 6-foot-3 guard out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, had an excellent junior season for Menomonee Falls. He averaged 23.5 points, six boards, and 3.5 assists this season. In addition, his individual success wasn’t all to be proud of because along with his nice season, his squad was able to compete in his division's championship game.

Trimble has remained consistent for the last two seasons, hence the reason high-major schools like Michigan and Virginia, along with a slew of others, keep calling the explosive lead guard.

He’s got such a nice smoothness to his game. He handles the ball exceptionally well, in addition to that, he’s a super explosive prospect with an excellent mid-range jumper. Size also is never a factor, Trimble enjoys being around the action and never shies away from anyone at the rim.

So, what’s the recruitment looking like for the Team Herro guard?

He answered all the questions for Stockrisers.com.

Which programs are heavily involved?

“Michigan, Mizzou, USC, Illinois, and Virginia.”

Virginia is the newest school?

“Yeah, I’ve picked up talk with Virginia more.”

What are your thoughts on the newest offer you received, Illinois?

“I think the Illini and Coach Underwood have a great playstyle. I like how they get up and down the court a lot and how he trusts his point guards to make the right play. After watching Ayo and the rest of the team this year I think their play style relates to my style well.”

What about a program like USC, which recruits Wisconsin heavily?

“USC’s offense is very similar to what I've grown up in, they play fast-paced and their ball screen game is performed super well, as well as their floor spacing. I like what Coach [Andy] Enfield is doing over there.”

And how about a program like Mizzou?

“I like Mizzou's playstyle, Coach Martin likes to play fast and efficiently, as well as his guards who are super crafty and can create and score at will.”

How would you describe this high school season for you individually?

“My season went well. We made it to the sectional final and ended up losing to another powerhouse team in the state. This year I put up 24 points, six rebounds, and three assists. We had a 17-8 record. I felt I was in control all season and I was able to play at my pace and score and create for my team whenever it was needed.”

Commitment timeline?

“I plan to commit sometime shortly after the AAU season. This may change, but, as of right now that is my plan. Sometime late July or August, maybe into early September.”
