The transfer portal has been hectic and that is still an understatement.

Over 500+ names are currently in the transfer portal and the other day, one prospect entered and instantly became one of the top-available transfers regardless of years remaining.

Jamir Harris, a 6-foot-2 guard from North Brunswick, NJ. He averaged over 20 points per game on shooting spreads of 47% from the field and over 41% from the three-point range. In addition, during his junior campaign in 2019, Harris shot 93.2% from the free-throw line, giving him the best percentage in American University’s history.

Harris entered his name just three days ago and off the rip Stockrisers.com was able to get the first list of suitors that reached out to Harris and the first list included Kansas State, Stanford, South Alabama, Robert Morris, and several others. That was within the first hour of the sharpshooting prospect entering the portal.

Shortly after, Harris told Stockrisers.com that Seton Hall and Rhode Island joined the mix with Kansas and Louisville not being too far off as they also entered the mix recently. Point is, the list continues to grow and schools are in need of a sharpshooting and high-level scoring graduate transfer.

So, Harris caught up with Stockrisers.com to discuss who’s in the mix, and he broke down several conversations with head coaches.

Which programs reached out to you since entering the portal?

“Stanford, Kansas State, Kansas, New Mexico State, FGCU, Louisville, San Diego, University of San Francisco, Arkansas, Robert Morris, Seton Hall, South Alabama, Stetson, Charlotte, George Mason, La Salle, Rhode Island, Fordham.”

Next, which head coaches have you talked with?

“Kansas State, Seton Hall, La Salle, Arkansas, San Diego, Robert Morris, New Mexico State.”

Talk Seton Hall, what would it be like to return home and what’s their pitch?

“It would be a special feeling to return home and play for the Hall. They’ve told me that they're very interested in me and that they need someone who brings to the table what I bring to the table and that there’s not many that do it at the level that I do. On top of that, the fact that I can play a major role in a winning situation in front of my friends and family.

How about Arkansas? Thoughts on coach Musselman, and their pitch?

“Coach Musselman and I have spoken briefly, but he said he’s very excited to recruit me and get to know my family better, he feels that I am a great fit for their NBA-style offense.”

Kansas State? Coach Weber, what was his pitch? They were the first HM to hit you.

“That he feels I’m a great fit for what they want to do and their system and the caliber of player that they want to play there. Coach Weber told me he is looking forward to building a relationship.”

What could you bring to one of these college programs?

“Scoring ability and the ability to create for others and leadership.”
