Breaking: Four-star senior D'Marco Dunn chooses North Carolina
North Carolina has been one of the hotter teams on the recruiting trail over the past few seasons and keeps that going by staying in the state and landing Top-75 prospect D’Marco Dunn, who tells Stockrisers.com that he’s committing to Roy Williams and the Tar Heels.
Dunn, the 6-foot-4 guard from Westover High School (NC.), decides to stay in the state and becomes the Heels second commitment joining Dontrez Styles. Dunn is a premier player in the state and averaged 20.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, two assists, and 2.7 steals per game while leading his team to a perfect 30-0 record.
“I just felt that there wasn’t a better fit and play style and opportunity in the country than the one that they’re giving me,” he told Stockrisers.com. Dunn, formerly from Arizona, had the local Arizona Wildcats among his final programs along with Vanderbilt, Georgia, Texas, Clemson, and Louisville.
Give the assists to both Roy Williams and commit Dontrez Styles who both played major roles in landing Dunn.
“Coach Williams is a down-to-earth class act guy. He treats all of his players like his sons and that was important to me.”
Then he mentioned Styles:
“Talking with Dontrez, we just knew that this would be a good fit.”
The Tar Heels do just have two commits currently for 2021 but I expect that to change. They continue to pursue guys like Caleb Houstan, Chet Holmgren, Pat Baldwin Jr., and Skyy Clark.
