Basketball Recruiting

The latest on four-star senior Jahmai Mashack

August 24, 2020

Etiwanda [CA] wing Jahmai Mashack has had quite the quarantine as far as his recruitment goes placing calls with many programs and earning himself a handful of high-major offers. The 6-foot-5 wing has emerged as a national prospect despite just earning his tenth offer recently. Many schools are looming and making calls with him.

Recently Mashack has completed two recent calls and broke them down with

Oklahoma: “Had a great player development zoom call with the Oklahoma staff last night. They showed me all of the analytics and how they get their players to develop.”

Tennessee: “My dad and I had a super in-depth style of play zoom call with Coach Schwartz and Coach English at Tennessee. We talked basketball for an hour and a half straight.”

This week, Oregon’s staff will place a virtual meeting with him and then Texas’ Shaka Smart will conduct a style of play zoom with him as well.

Mashack says that Cal, Colorado, and Arizona are also making a major push at him.

“Just blessed that I have so many great options. It’s not about good or bad choices for me but I just want to find the right fit because all of these programs are great.”

Mashack currently doesn’t have a commitment timeline.
