Hailing in the Pennsylvania area, Sam Ayomide began his national recruitment as a top-target by Temple and only being pursued by a slew of programs. Now, he’s got tons of high-majors keening in, most recently? Kansas’ Bill Self.

Last week, the Jayhawks extended an offer to Ayomide joining tons of high-major programs. Ayomide hasn’t completed zoom calls just yet as far as virtual calls and visits go, but, this week he says it’s very possible that he takes his first one with Kansas who is the newest school to be involved with him.

In addition, he holds offers from Temple, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Texas A&M, LSU, La Salle, Providence, Memphis, Illinois, Seton Hall, and TCU.

He broke down several of the programs involved in his recruitment:

Seton Hall: “The coaches on the staff have taken their time to really get to know me. They also took the time to know me as a person and we have developed a great relationship.”

Memphis: “I’ve developed a great relationship with the coaches. They’ve stayed in touch with me a lot since they offered. It has been really great.”

Providence: “I’ve been talking with them a lot. We talk from coach to player and just how my skillset fits their system.”

The HBCU route is also something that Ayomide is considering. The most recent offer he landed in his recruitment came from HBCU and SWAC program, Southern University. I’d say that more HBCUs are expected to offer and this is a route that is being considered.

Ayomide says ‘I’m just working hard [this offseason] and getting better every day.” Also says he’s unsure when he will cut down his list as more programs are involved and he is really focused on improving on the court and development.
