Breaking: Gabe Dorsey commits to Vanderbilt
Jerry Stackhouse lands a major commitment in Gabe Dorsey as the four-star junior tells Stockrisers.com that he’s headed to Vanderbilt.
“I chose Vandy because I feel like it was the best opportunity for me to be able to reach my full potential as a basketball player. Much of the staff has had nba experience and understand the blueprint to success. Additionally, Vandy’s academic reputation was very difficult to pass on."
Dorsey chose the Commodores after building a major relationship with the staff:
"I knew I wanted to choose the school when I had really started to build strong relationships with the assistants as well as Coach Stack. The fact that they are in the SEC, a great league, as well as knowing what a Vanderbilt degree can do for me in life was everything I wanted in a school."
He pointed out his future coach, Jerry Stackhouse and his relationship with him:
"Having the opportunity to learn and grow under Coach Stack is very exciting when you look at his background, knowledge, and unique experience. He and the staff have been great with letting me know how I can contribute to what they have going on, and the kind of player they envision me to become."
