Arguably one of the nation’s top-rated tight ends in the country, Michael Trigg, is now becoming one of the more popular basketball recruits as well.

The 6-foot-5 prospect who weighs in at 230-pounds (Michael Trigg‍) already held some of the more prestigious football offers you could get, now, those offers are being presented with an option to play basketball as well.

Trigg has already landed offers from USC, Illinois, Arizona State, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, for both sports. “These dual-offers are pretty new to me,” Trigg said.

Although it's pretty early in the process for a football prospect, Trigg is now also beginning his recruitment as a basketball prospect which now means he will begin speaking with college coaches. His first conversation regarding his hoops recruitment was with LSU's Will Wade, a program that has also offered him for football.

"He [Wade] talked with me and we had like a five-minute conversation and he was just telling me how he saw my film and how he was impressed with it and then he offered me a scholarship," Trigg said on LSU.

Last month, Trigg said that he had facetime calls with Kentucky's John Calipari and Southern California's Andy Enfield. The USC coach already has been in this situation before with Drake London, a former four-star wide receiver who's also a rotation player on the Trojans' basketball team.

Trigg has made it evident that he would love to play both sports in college and is currently committed to that, saying "I'll be playing both in college for sure."
