Leonard Hamilton has been one of the nation’s top recruiters for the past few cycles and he continues that as five-star junior and incoming senior Matthew Cleveland tells Stockrisers.com that he’s committing to Florida State.

“It just felt like a the perfect fit. Coach Ham’s system is perfect for me and I’ve seen him develop guys just like me."

Cleveland chose the Seminoles over Stanford, NC State, Michigan, and Kansas. He originally had over 30+ scholarship offers after being boosted in rankings over the past few months, ultimately the Seminoles won over his talents over the past few weeks.

“I knew about 2 weeks ago I just wanted to make sure it was the the right quality decision and I did everything I needed to do to make the right decision for me."

Hamilton landed another Top-50 prospect in Bryce McGowens earlier in the year, that is a prospect who I believe along with Cleveland could make a major jump in the rankings, here’s what Cleveland had to say about his future running mate:

"Bryce Mcgowens is the only other one so far. Him and I keep in touch a lot, I love his game and we compliment each other very well.”

In addition, I asked him who he is going to recruit to Tallahassee and he only mentioned one guy who he believes could be the missing piece for this Florida State recrutiing class.

"Right now we’ve only talked about Ryan Mutumbo, I just think that the 3 of us would Gel perfectly into the system."

The pickup of Cleveland along with already having McGowens gives the Seminoles a Top-10 class for 2021.
