Rolling Meadows looks like they have another blossoming star on the way in 2025 rising junior, Ian Miletic.

The 6-foot-7 wing has been coming out strong as of late, having multiple 25-point games and asserting himself as a high-level recruit in the 2025 class.

Miletic is averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds per game, including shooting splits of 50% on his three balls and near the same for his field goals overall.

Many viewed him as an Ivy League prospect to begin this season, stating he might only be able to play at that level. With major size and his ability to be a long, versatile shooter, Miletic has shown he is a guy who can play in any Power Five conference.

His recruitment has picked up as of late. He recently took an unofficial visit to Marquette and has also picked up a recent offer from in-state power, in Illinois.

This is a guy that is starting to pick up steam now, and I think it will translate to Spring ball for AAU. Miletic is a prospect I presume will be on breakout watch over the next few months for 2025 prospects.

He was able to get with Stockrisers.com and we discussed his recruitment and the development of his game.

Which schools are heavily involved in your recruitment?

“Recently it’s been Marquette, Illinois, Wisconsin, Loyola, Miami OH, NDSU and a couple others are looking to come out in the following weeks.”

Who are some of the newer schools?

“Most recently Notre Dame and Purdue have come out for games. On top of those, Belmont recently came to my school and I had a nice talk with the assistant. Minnesota will be at our next game and I hear from a couple of Ivy Leagues like Columbia and Yale now and then also.”

How was your experience at Marquette and what are your thoughts on their program?

“Marquette was great, the program in general is surrounded by great people and principles. Coach Smart has been very welcoming of my family and we’ve made a solid connection.”

What about Illinois? Have they given you a pitch yet?

“I’m planning to head over there later in February. Depends on scheduling with how busy we are on both sides. Enjoyed hearing from Hammer and Underwood. It’s an honor for the opportunity, especially when it’s your hometown like that.”

How about Wisconsin? What’s that recruitment like?

“They invited me out to their camps a while back and I planned a while back to go to their game on February 4th. So I’ll have more on that once I head down there and see Coach Oliver again.”

How would you best describe your game?

“Versatile, I can do whatever’s needed to win games.”

How would you like to improve your game?

“I’m looking forward to continuing to get more comfortable with my right hand. Also could improve on my reads out of the low post. But most importantly defensively I want to become a lockdown on-ball defender.”

How do you see yourself fitting into a college program?

“But I just see myself bringing energy and helping everyone, including myself, get better each day. I’m looking forward to taking advantage of all the opportunities to grow and learn more about my game. I know what I’m capable of from my on-court side of things but looking forward to fine-tuning them in the right program.”
