Grand Island’s (NE) Isaac Traudt used the past COVID year to really develop his game and improve his body physically and it has led to the pursuit of many high-major programs in landing the talented Top-40 forward.

With his senior year approaching, Traudt opted to use the month of June to visit an influx of schools, most of which his visits were of the official capacity which is a huge deal, in addition to the local unofficial visit he took as well.

Traudt was able to trip to Virginia, North Carolina, Nebraska, Michigan State of the official capacity, and on June 1st, the day players were eligible to touch college campuses physically, he took a local unofficial visit to Creighton, who has been in hot pursuit of the local star forward.

So, how did these visits go?

Traudt recapped his visit spree in June with Stockrisers.com and details a possible commitment timeline.

How was your unofficial visit to Creighton on June 1st?

“We went there June 1st and had a great time. We met some of the new staff members and hung out with some players. I had already seen the campus and facilities but it was really nice to see everything again. They have been recruiting me for a long time now and I have a really good relationship with Coach McDermott.”

Then you took a quick trip to Nebraska for an official, thoughts?

“Nebraska was my first official visit. They have a great staff and really nice facilities there. We hung out with the McGowens brothers and Sam Hoiberg mainly. They’ve been recruiting me for a long time now too.”

Virginia, you visited with current commit Isaac McKneely, thoughts on them?

“This visit was the first time I got to meet everyone in person as well as meeting Isaac McKneely. They have a really historic campus and great facilities. They think that I and Isaac McKneely could potentially help them get back to a national championship if I were to go there.”

How about your official visit to Michigan State?

“We had a really good time at MSU. They have a great staff and I was able to hang out with the players quite a bit. Me and Jaden Schutt were on campus and got to play pickup with the guys too. They kind of broke down what a typical day at MSU would look like.”

You recently were in Chapel Hill for a UNC visit, how did that go?

“UNC has a great tradition obviously but it was the staff that really stood out to me. Their facilities were great too but we enjoyed our time with Coach Davis and the staff. The players I was with the most were Justin McKoy and Brady Manek.”

Any timeline on when people should expect a decision?

“I’d like to make my college decision before my senior season.”
