2022 is a class full of sharpshooting guards. That includes one of Illinois’ top-rated prospects in Jaden Schutt. The 6-foot-5 guard out of Yorkville Christian (IL.) holds nearly 25 scholarship offers and is being prioritized nationally.

In an era where Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Trae Young, and many others have made the league a shooting league, it has made guys like Schutt hot commodities. His shooting stroke is one that never fails to amaze anyone scouting or evaluating his game. He’s even made double-digit threes in a game.

Schutt’s sophomore season, he obviously excelled in the scoring department. He averaged 23 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and added two steals per game during his sophomore year with Yorkville Christian. Following that, in the junior season, he did even better, especially on the scoring sheet.

His junior year, this season, he finished with 26.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and nearly three steals per contest. An elite prospect who can do a wide range of things on the court, including both on the offensive end and the defensive end.

Yesterday, Schutt finished with 32 points in a losing effort but was able to showcase his scoring ability and his three-point shot. I think programs will continue to heavily pursue Schutt as he would bring a dynamic scoring threat to whatever program he opts to commit to.

So what are some of the college options for Schutt? He discussed that and a lot more with Stockrisers.com.

And a program in Iowa, who has been on you for a long time.

“Iowa is a school that has been recruiting me for while and they have had great offensive players come through the program and Coach Fran [McCaffery] talks about how he gives his players freedom.”
