Four-star junior Bryce Lindsay talks his busy recruitment

Bryce Lindsay is currently unranked across several outlets. Here at Stockrisers.com, the ultimate goal is not to just cover recruiting but to also put deserved and earned talent on the map.

Lindsay is a 6-foot-3, 170-pound guard out of Baltimore, Maryland, attends Baltimore Polytechnic Institute which most recently sent Top-75 recruit Justin Lewis of the 2020 class to Marquette, so tons of talent has come out of Poly and Lindsay is next.

On the Under Armour Circuit with Team Thrill earlier last year, he left me impressed and uncertain. Why uncertain? I saw an unranked guard put on a show and ultimately had to try and figure out how he wasn’t ranked. Good size at the guard spot and can shoot the ball extremely well, great at creating space, polished handle, and loves involving his teammates.

His recruitment includes a slew of high-major scholarship as well as several programs still showing heavy interest. Among his offers are Marquette, Virginia Tech, VCU, Howard, amongst many other scholarships he earned.

Lindsay answered all the hard-hitting questions for Stockrisers.com, read here:

Which programs are heavily involved in your recruitment?

“Marquette, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and Arizona.”

How about any newer schools to enter the mix?

“Memphis and Xavier are the newer schools who have reached out.”

Let’s talk Syracuse, they’ve been interested for quite some time?

“My AAU coach communicates with Coach Autry. He says I can be their leading point guard coming in. They haven’t offered yet but they remain in contact every week and their system intrigued me.

How about Marquette, who has your former teammate Justin Lewis?

“I talked to the head coach, Coach [Steve] Wojciechowski on zoom. He’s the one that gave me the offer, he says he sees me being one of the best point guards to come out of there program. Coach Killings also keeps in contact every week.”

Back to the ACC, thoughts on the Virginia Tech program and Mike Young?

“I communicate with Coach Frazier almost every day. He tries to keep in contact with me the most he can. Also head coach [Mike] Young calls me every now and then, they say I can come right in and be their point guard. They say I fit their style of play like ball screen and iso ball, they play off their guards.”

Describe your game to the fullest, for those who haven’t watched?

“I have a Steph Curry and Trae Young type game. I'm a High-IQ point guard, I can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court, my execution in-ball screens are tremendous and I can finish over taller defenders in the ball.”
