Four-star junior Seth Trimble talks his recruitment and game

The State of Wisconsin has been one of the more underrated states when it comes to the abundance of talent. You instantly start with Phenom University and Team Herro, quite the talent in that organization and it starts with one of America’s top-ranked players in Patrick Baldwin Jr. and goes all the way down to Seth Trimble.

But who is Seth Trimble? He’s a 6-foot-2 guard or labeled as your modern-day combo-guard. He weighs in around 185-pounds so he’s got decent size at the guard spot. Trimble plays for Menomonee Falls and carries a pretty big load as a leader and a starter.

Trimble currently holds just a slew of offers but that is a list I fully expect to grow but he’s also a name I expect many people to learn. Trimble is not only an exceptional athlete and high-IQ guard but he also has tons of character and anybody from his teammates all the way to his coaches rave about him on and off the floor.

He discussed his growing recruitment and his game with Stockrisers.com. What are his expectations heading into this season?

Which schools are in the mix currently?

“Right now Arizona State, TCU, USC, Nebraska, Iowa State, and Milwaukee.”

Any newer schools contact you recently?

“Michigan and Texas have been in contact with me.”

How have the zoom calls been going?

“The zoom calls have been great, it’s usually small talk with the coaches and they also showed me the campuses, their facilities, and how they run their offense. They also show the style of play they run and also the guys they send to the pros, they’ve been going good.”

Iowa State has a fellow Wisconsin guy in Tyrese Hunter committed, thoughts on them?

“Iowa State with Coach Prohm, just got off a zoom call with him the other day. From what it sounds like their game is great and they play a lot of freestyle basketball, you know they always have good guards at Iowa State and NBA prospects. I really like Coach Prohm and the way he coaches.”

USC has your AAU teammate Kobe Johnson committed, thoughts on them?

“USC as well. Of course, they’re known for their bigs with Evan Mobley and recent lottery pick Onyeka Okongwu, but they’ve produced some good guards over the last few years, and seeing on the zooms they’ve got great guards that have run through their program and their offense is run through the guards, which is a good thing.”

Describe your game.

“My game, I think I’m a really great all-around point guard. I like to get out in transition and make plays and get up and down the floor and score on the fast break. I love to step out and shoot the three. The defense has also been a big part of my game so I prioritize that too.”

The most surprising thing about your game?

“The most surprising thing about my game is my jumper. Most people that know me in high school ball, are worried about me getting to the lane and attacking them and they lose focus with the three. I can shoot it just as good as I could get to the lane.”
