The buzz surrounding prep-to-pro prospect Josh Hall
We’ve witnessed guys like Anfernee Simons and Jalen Lecque most notably and recently made the leap from prep school to the NBA.
The next prep-to-pro prospect? Josh Hall. He screams upside, the Moravian Prep (NC.) prospect is a 6-foot-9 wing/forward prospect that recently drew a Brandon Ingram comparison from Kendrick Perkins and that’s a comparison I can dig.
Hall is a lethal scorer because he can score in so many ways. Defensively, he has a long wingspan and his vision and ability to read the floor is excellent. I think he can be useful in so many types of ways on both ends. Outside of the game, he’s still young and could be a great building block for any NBA team.
We here at Stockrisers.com reported that the Brooklyn Nets are among the teams with interest in Hall. Now, I heard that he along with several other guys are possible options for them if they intend to keep that 55th pick in the final round. It is certainly possible that they move that pick but Hall would be a bet for me if they keep it and he is available.
If he wasn’t to be available, I would not be shocked at all. Tons of value is coming out of the final round this year and a guy like Hall used the pre-draft process to his advantage and was able to showcase his skillset.
Last year, I interviewed Hall and we discussed his choice to move into the 2020 class. Obviously, that was for him to take time and develop his game with Moravian Prep. That development was huge and he became a five-star high school prospect and then ultimately established himself as a possible draft pick this year.
