Top-35 senior Alex Fudge commits to LSU, talks decision

LSU lands Top-35 senior Alex Fudge, he told Stockrisers.com. He broke down his decision with Stockrisers.com

Why LSU?

"I chose LSU because of the strong relationship with the Coaching staff and Coach Wade and also I could see myself there filling in for trendon and possibly making it to the next level in one or two years. I felt that this was the best choice for me it could take me to the next level."

When did you know?

"After offering, the assistant coaches were recruiting me for about a good 2 to 3 weeks and after that Coach Wade took over. Coach Wade would call me to make sure I’m good, that I’m in the gym, and also that I’m still thinking about LSU. Coach Wade is like the second father to me."

You visited this summer without meeting the coaches? How did that go?

"It started off as a trip to go see my cousins and my family out and Lafayette Louisiana, I went out there and my cousin asked if I wanted to tour the campus. Since Covid didn’t allow us to visit facilities and stuff i said yes and just drove around campus. I got to see the tiger in person.Overall the campus is beautiful."

Family ties, how did that impact you?

"Being that my family is 45 minutes away they did have an impact but it wasn’t a major impact. It’s nice to know that if I did feel homesick or if i needed somebody to talk to family wise, my family is right up the street."

"I’m here to work and cant wait to begin this journey! Lassiez le bon temps rouler! Geaux Tigers!!!"
