Breaking: Oregon lands four-star senior Johnathan Lawson
On his 18th birthday, Four-star senior Johnathan Lawson has opted to shut down his recruitment and verbally commit to the Oregon Ducks, he told Stockrisers.com. Lawson chose the Ducks over Memphis, Alabama, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, and Iowa State.
Lawson now stands at 6-foot-8 after growing two inches during the summer. He brings a dynamic skill set to the Ducks roster and will become an instant impact in the Pac-12
But why the Ducks?
Lawson: “I chose the Ducks because of the amazing relationship that I have with Coach Stubblefield and the staff. They have some big pieces leaving and I see myself coming in and making a big impact right away.”
Early enrollment?
Lawson: “There’s still a 50-50 chance that I enroll in January. I need an English course to be able to make that happen.”
Your brother’s impact?
Lawson: “He did a little bit, impact my decision. I just figured that this would be the best place for myself.”
