It's been a few weeks since Bryce Hopkins backed off his commitment to Louisville.

Since, he’s had a pretty busy schedule with tons of calls being held with college coaches. Hes conducted a handful of zoom calls and has been in contact with coaches from 10+ programs. Even though only Oregon, Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence and Kentucky have extended official offers, there will be several more programs looking to make a major push and Hopkins isn't prepared for a decision.

“I have to sit down with my parents and talk to them and really figure out a good time to make my decision,” Hopkins told Stockrisers.com.

As far as a list cut, we will get that sooner than later as Hopkins additionally told Stockrisers.com that he will cut his list down to seven programs this week. With that, who all is making a push at Hopkins currently?

"There is Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Oregon, Providence, Notre Dame, Iowa State,, Cal Berkeley, South Carolina,” he said.

Out of that list he’s completed recent zoom calls with the staffs of Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana.

He talked with Kentucky’s John Calipari multiple times including two zoom calls, the most recent one Hopkins said ‘went very well’ and he would end up landing a scholarship offer from the Wildcats, bolstering them as one of the favorites in his recruitment which remains open.

Illinois’ Brad Underwood got the last zoom call for Hopkins and is expected to make a major push. The Illini were in on Hopkins prior to his Louisville commitment when he was ranked around the 80’s and 90’s, they remain heavily in the mix now as well.

He also completed a virtual meeting with Michigan’s Juwan Howard and his staff who entered the mix after he announced his decommitment. The Wolverines have landed a nice class for 2021 and look to add Hopkins.

So, we should expect a list cut this week from Hopkins which will lead to a commitment timetable as programs are cut from his recruitment.
