Five-star junior Tyrone Jamison updates his recruitment, upcoming visit

It has been a strong last few months for Calvary Baptist (Louisiana) star and five-star junior Tyrone Jamison. The 6-2 guard has stood out at camps such as Formula Zero, Be Elite Invitational, and others dating back to the spring.
He began the year by having an impressive sophomore season, where he was really able to make his mark as a five-star caliber prospect.
Jamison averaged over 15.5 points per game, dished out six assists per game, nearly four rebounds, and over two steals per game. Safe to say he’s an impact for an entire game and on both sides of the floor.
“I’m a wolf, I’m going to kill anything in front of me and play the right way. Talk on the floor and guard the best player,” Jamsion told Stockrisers.com while breaking down his game.
His game and mentality have drawn the eyes of plenty of college coaches, and he leads a very packed and busy recruitment. He’s expected to visit LSU this weekend, which is among the several schools he discussed with Stockrisers.com.
Which schools are heavily involved?
”A lot of schools are involved, but I’d say LSU, Baylor, Arkansas, and Maryland are a few to name.”
Have any newer schools shown interest?
”USC, Auburn, Arizona, to name a few.”
How would you describe your thoughts on LSU?
”I visit with them this weekend, but it’s a good atmosphere out there. The fans support them, and they have a good squad this year. Coach Matt [McMahon] is a good coach.”
How about Baylor? What are your thoughts on them?
”Baylor is a great school and has a great background with point guards. Always one of the top teams in the Big 12, and fans support them. I’m looking to take a visit there soon.”
Alabama has been in recently for you, correct?
”Yes.”
Thoughts on them, and what are they pitching?
”They are just saying how they really like my game and can see me in their system. They’ve been recruiting me since the 9th grade, and I love the program. Great place to be and great coaches, I like how their guards play.”
What impact do you want to have this season, and any goals?
”Just a winning impact as always. I just have one goal in mind, and that is to win the state.”
Jamison will be on LSU’s campus today and says he plans on scheduling more visits. I bet we hear a lot of his name during his junior season as he looks to lead Calvary Baptist to a state title.
