Breaking: El Ellis commits to Arkansas, will keep testing NBA waters
The transfer portal is a huge resource for many programs nowadays.
Many would say every school reaches out in the portal, but people won’t see any other school more active in the portal than the Arkansas Razorbacks. After landing one of the top-rated transfers this week in Khalif Battle, they’ve added another top transfer target.
Louisville’s El Ellis is headed to Arkansas, but had entered his name in the NBA draft while maintaining his eligibility and will keep it in there for now, he told Stockrisers.com.
Ellis averaged 17.7 points per game this season and was arguably one of the conference's biggest snubs for All-ACC. Prior to his two seasons at Louisville, Ellis was the No. 1 JUCO player in America and has been on power five radars and NBA radars over the last three years.
Why Arkansas for Ellis?
“I built a really good relationship with the staff. They are losing a lot of key pieces from last year's roster. I was told they need a veteran guard to come in to run the show, and for what Muss has done with this program it was a no-brainer.”
Ellis will graduate from Louisville this May and test the NBA draft process while maintaining his college eligibility.
