Four-star junior Seth Trimble recaps Marquette visit, talks recruitment

Underrated.

Seth Trimble defines the word underrated. The 6-foot-3 guard out of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, had an excellent junior season for Menomonee Falls. He averaged 23.5 points, six boards, and 3.5 assists this season. In addition, his individual success wasn’t all to be proud of because along with his nice season, his squad was able to compete in his division's championship game.

Trimble has remained consistent for the last two seasons, hence the reason high-major schools like Michigan, North Carolina, and Virginia, along with a slew of others, keep calling the explosive lead guard.

He’s got such a nice smoothness to his game. He handles the ball exceptionally well, in addition to that, he’s a super explosive prospect with an excellent mid-range jumper. Size also is never a factor, Trimble enjoys being around the action and never shies away from anyone at the rim.

He took his first campus visit to Marquette yesterday (June 2nd) and will take visits to Michigan, UNC, and Wisconsin as well this month.

Want to hear about his trip to Marquette and those future visit plans? Well, you’re in the right spot as Trimble discussed all of that with Stockrisers.com.

Which programs would you say are the heaviest involved?

“Marquette, UNC, USC, Michigan, Indiana, Purdue are heavily involved.”

Any schools without an offer that are involved?

“I’ve been in talk with Virginia for forever but still no offer.”

How was it to be back on a college campus yesterday?

“It felt really good to finally get back on a campus, was fun.”

And what are your thoughts after that Marquette visit?

“Marquette visit went really well, really got to connect with Coach Smart and the rest of his staff. We went over the film, had some deep talks, went through the practice facility and FiservForum, and more. I really enjoyed the visit overall.”

Michigan?

“Michigan has been on me heavily, I talk to Coach Martelli every morning. I really enjoy Coach Howard and his personality, I feel they’re a team who could fit my play style and I’m excited to get out to visit soon.”

Hmmm, how about North Carolina?

“UNC has also been on me heavier, I talk to Coach Fred and Coach Hubert often, I love talking to Coach Hubert, he’s a very down-to-earth guy and he’s super easy to talk to. I also visit UNC soon and I’m excited about that too, UNC has a very good history of guards and I think Coach Hubert will continue to keep it going.”

Commitment timeline?

“As of right now I'm aiming towards  late summer possibly as a commitment date, I’m hoping to get all my visits done in June and some of July and maybe a commitment towards the end of summer.”

What’s your summer goal?

“Summer goal is simply to get better, there are a lot of things I have room to improve on and this summer will help. Definitely focusing most on shooting all summer, I’m in the weight room every day, but towards the skill part of it, the jump shot is most important this summer. Off the dribble shooting and on the ball shooting especially.”
