The transfer portal has been non-stop as far as movement and names being added. We’ve seen over 700+ names enter the transfer portal and nearly all of those have a college choice they’ve got to make.

With all the chaos in the portal and names, we’ve been able to get familiar with some players that some of you may have never heard of before.

What do we know about Parker Fox?

Well, Fox is a Division II standout that attended Northern State University in South Dakota. He averaged 22 points, 9.9 boards, and over three blocks per game. The 6-foot-8 prospect thrived at that level and is now prepared for the highest level in college basketball.

Fox has heard from tons of programs and he discussed everything we need to know about his recruitment with Stockrisers.com.

Which programs have reached out to you?

“Minnesota, Creighton, Cal, Clemson, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, San Diego State, Texas Tech, LSU, St. John's, Xavier, Butler, Vanderbilt, Seton Hall, Texas A&M, TCU, New Mexico, St. Mary's, Georgetown, Boston College, Dayton, Colorado State, Pepperdine, Missouri State, Cal Poly, Iona, Bradley, Ole Miss.”

You’re a Minnesota native, have you heard from the Gophers yet?

“I was able to connect with the new head coach, Coach Ben Johnson.”

How about the virtual visit process, what’s that looking like?

“I have only had one zoom call with the full staff at Iona where they offered me a scholarship. I have also FaceTime’d with Bradley. Texas A&M zoom on Thursday, TCU zoom Wednesday, and Dayton for this week. Looking to set one up to New Mexico, Cal, Butler, Xavier, Creighton, and Vanderbilt soon. As well as some of the other schools too.”

What are coaches pitching to you as you speak to more and more coaches?

“I talked to mostly every coach about the same types of things. About me wanting to be a player that can come in and play quality minutes and help a team win with leadership and experience as well as on the court versatility and energy.

A lot of teams talk to me about their programs, how they run their programs, and what they are looking for in a player. They have described that they have a lot of interest in me and are looking forward to continuing our recruiting process with me in it.”

How would you best describe the game of Parker Fox?

“My game is played with a high-energy motor and relentless effort. I like to make highlight plays such as big dunks and black shots. I fly around all over the court and I have a good impact on a game. I’m strong enough to where I can get in the post and make plays at the rim but I’m versatile enough to play inside out and make plays in space with athleticism and a quick step.

Defensively I love to block shots, get steals, and get out in transition. I’m a guy that has won a lot at his former school and wants to continue at a school where he can help the program win.”

Commitment timeline?

“I am graduating the first week in May and I’m planning to have my commitment picked out by that time. I want to be able to get on the campus of whatever school I go to in the summer to start workouts and building relationships with my team.”
