Today, Stockrisers.com will continue to introduce you guys to 2023 prospects as they approach the Spring of their sophomore campaigns. In New Jersey, they’re expected to have a slew of recruits rated in the upper half of rankings. The state is absolutely loaded and one of the schools expected to be a heavy competitor is St. Benedict’s Prep.

Aaron Clark has been a star for the school. Also a headliner for New Jersey Scholar-Athletes. He’s a 6-foot-6 guard that can score on all levels. He’s got tons of athleticism and he’s real versatile which gives him an advantage in defensive matchups but also makes him a multi-dimensional offensive player.

I expect this season to be a major one for him as the competition level is high in the state of New Jersey and a player with his upside and size/skill will thrive at a high level. He talked about his recruitment in-depth with Stockrisers.com, we touched upon the programs that have offered, interesting programs, his game, etc.

Which programs have extended you a scholarship offer early?

“TCU, St. John’s, Seton Hall, UMass, Bryant, Stony Brook, St. Peter’s, and Cleveland State.”

TCU is the most recent program to extend an offer, thoughts on them?

“I had a great conversation with the coach. We spoke about the school and how it’s a private university. We also talked about their offense and defense. I like what they're doing with the guard Mike Miles and how they let him play his game.”

How about the hometown school, Seton Hall?

“They like my size and shooting ability and that I remind them of a player they had before name Khadeen Carrington.”

St. John’s isn’t far from home either, what are your thoughts on them?

“The coach loved my game and wanted to get involved early. We spoke about their play style and how I would fit. They want me to come to visit as soon things clear up.”

Which schools are currently showing interest without an offer?

“Creighton, Iowa, and Georgia.”

What do you think about Iowa? They have had a very nice season.

“The coach said he wants to get to know me and how he looks forward to watching me grow over these next couple of years. We talked about their style of play and how they like to play fast, shoot a lot of threes and run. He said I would fit in great and that he wants to get me up there for a visit.”

And what about Tom Crean’s program, Georgia?

“I spoke with the coach last week. It was a 3-way call with my coach. They called after they had just played Ole Miss. He made it clear that they were interested in my game and wanted to build a relationship with me.”

Now, let’s talk about your move to St. Benedict’s Prep, why the change?

“My relationship with head coach Mark Taylor and coach Marckenzie Gaillot played an important role in my transfer. Overall it was the best fit for me to take my game to the next level and be ready when it’s time to make my college decision.”

Describe your game and give your expectations entering this season?

“I describe my game as a smooth versatile guard that can score at all three levels and have the ability to create for my teammates. My expectations this season are to just become a better player overall, get my teammates involved, and just win.”
