Top-10 sophomore Robert Dillingham discusses early recruitment
Despite not being able to receive calls or any sort of contact from coaches, Robert Dillingham has quite the recruitment, very impressive, yet it’s very early in his recruitment. The 6-foot-1 guard out of Lincolnton Combine Academy in North Carolina was very impressive at the recent Battle of The Rock event where he took home an MVP trophy.
Dillingham has tons of buzz nationally due to his elite scoring ability and his overall feel on the offensive end. He oozes potential and just his ability to score on all levels and how he does it is just so entertaining to watch. I think if I have to use one word to describe his skill set and his overall game it would be Confident.
The Top-10 prospect plays with a fearless mentality and is one of the most confident scorers I’ve had a chance to watch.
Stockrisers.com talked with the Top-10 prospect this weekend, it was an excellent conversation, let’s take a look!
Which schools have you earned an offer from recently?
”The latest schools to extend offers are Pittsburgh, Kansas, SMU, DePaul, Clemson, Florida, and some other schools.”
You received three new offers recently, thoughts on those?
“My last three offers have been from DePaul, Clemson, and NC A&T. All mid-major to high-major. A&T is an HBCU and I’m pretty glad to have all of those [HBCU offers] and I would be open to possibly going to one of those in the future.”
You have been able to contact schools yourself, who have you talked with as of late?
“The schools that I have spoken to most recently is North Carolina and UCLA.”
How will you approach the recruiting process?
“With my recruitment process, I’ll probably wait it out to see or pick the perfect school, find the best coaching staff, and other stuff like that.”
Season expectations and areas to improve in this season?
“My game and season expectations are to just become a better player overall, get my teammates involved, and just win and make my teammates better at the same time so we can come out with the dub each game.”
