Four-star junior Brandon White discusses his recruitment

The 2022 class is flooded with talent at the big man spot. Brandon White is another big man that is being highly-touted by coaches and is receiving a ton of attention this fall. The 6-foot-10, 205-pound center out of Winston Salem Christian School (NC.), and is performing under newly-minted head coach, Antonio Lowe.

He leads a very dynamic skill set and it’s a majority if not all of the reason that White is being pursued by several high-major schools. White is a very athletic big man that is going to cause you issues in the paint. As far as defensive skills go, obviously, he’s got size and length and he prides himself on using it, making him lethal as a rim protector.

White attended North Rowan (NC.) for his first two years of high school. He saw tons of success and that includes playoff runs in the NCHSAA for his first two seasons. He’s a prospect that oozes with potential at the five spots and I believe he has the potential to bloom and eventually make his way as a top-tier guy, especially a run for that top spot in North Carolina.

Stockrisers.com was able to chat with White where he discussed his recruitment and his game.

Which programs are currently involved in your recruitment?

“The schools that are involved heavily are North Carolina, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Florida State, UConn, Clemson, West Virginia, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Cincinnati, Baylor, VCU, and others.”

Any new schools reach out recently?

“Not really. It’s always been the same schools really.”

You recently landed several offers, including NC State, thoughts?

“It feels great to pick up those [offers], but the work is nowhere close to being done. I still have to keep working and push myself for greatness. I’m very thankful for my coach, man, he does everything he can to make sure that we get what we need as a team.”

At a rapid-fire rate, North Carolina and your recruitment, go.

“Top of my list, Coach Robinson, that’s my guy.”

How about Wake Forest?

“They’re recruiting me really hard.”

And what about a program high on you in Louisville?

“They always catch up on me and talking about basketball.”

Now, describe the game of Brandon White.

“Brandon White is a high-flyer, athlete, and runs the floor. I think I’m a great rim protector, I have the ability to step out and hit shots, I’m a rim-rocker, I dunk everything, and I take charges.”

Season expectations for you and the team?

“It’s coming along, we are all very young and still finding stuff out but when we all come together It’s gonna be a show, make sure you grab your popcorn and a beverage, sit-down and enjoy the season.”
