Since Buzz Williams took over as the head coach of the Texas A&M Aggies, he’s used one thing to his advantage since arriving in College Station and that is going in hot-pursuit mode with in-state prospects.

Overall, right when he landed the job he instantly landed a stellar recruiting class for 2020 that includes key players in Andre Gordon, Emanuel Miller, Cashius McNeilly, Johnathan Aku, Quenton Jackson, and others.

Fast forward to now, he landed Jaxson Robinson, originally a member of the 2021 class as well as five-star senior Manny Obaseki.

Today, he has his point guard of the future as Lancaster (TX.) star Wade Taylor IV has committed to Buzz Williams and the Aggies, he told Stockrisers.com. He broke down his decision and a lot more.

Why Texas A&M for Wade Taylor IV?

Taylor IV: “A&M is a one of a kind school, the opportunities that the school provides on the court and off the court are limitless. They are definitely a family school and family is a big thing in my life. I couldn’t see a better fit.”

When did you know and decide that it was time to choose A&M?

Taylor IV: “I knew that A&M was the spot for me when Coach Buzz said that he was done recruiting because he had done all he could, it got to a point where I and Coach Buzz didn’t even talk about basketball anymore, just about life. That’s when I knew he was the coach for me.”

Describe your relationship with Buzz Williams.

Taylor IV: “Me and Coach Buzz have a great relationship, as soon as he got the job at A&M he came to my high school the next day and I knew then that he wanted me in his program. We talk every other day even if it’s just checking in or talking about the future. Coach Buzz is a very stand up guy and I love that about him.”

You’re already close with fellow pledge Manny Obaseki, thoughts on now joining him?

Taylor IV: “Teaming up with Manny will be very fun, that’s my brother. I’ve seen him grow into the person and player he is and vice versa. We will go in and continue to rep A&M like we’re supposed to. National Championships is what we are chasing Oh yeah, we are not done either, y’all stay on the lookout.”
