Five-star senior Bryce McGowens decommits, hears from suitors
Stockrisers.com dropped a bombshell this morning when we announced that Five-star senior Bryce McGowens will be backing off his commitment to Florida State. The two sides talked and ended on good terms and the Seminoles will remain under consideration for him. McGowens made his original choice in February and has decided to explore his options and make sure he didn't rush.
McGowens shortly after heard from Georgia, followed by Arizona, Wake Forest, Iowa State, Sourh Carolina, LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Iowa State, South Carolina, and Kentucky. He heard from all of these programs within a few hours of reopening his recruitment.
As we mentioned, Florida State will remain in the mix but this time will see themselves involved with a bunch of schools. The Seminoles are still a major team to beat in the recruitment, many don't understand that this decommitment was to make sure he didn't rush into a choice.
The 6-foot-6 combo guard is currently enrolled at Legacy Early College (SC.) where he will compete on a national schedule.
