I watched Blair Academy play in December and I was amongst those witnessing a breakout. That’s when I got my first look at Kyle Cuffe Jr. who put on an absolute show. He would end up landing his first few high-major offers after the PSA Cardinals showcase in which he was one of the events most outstanding players.

Currently seen as a Top-60 prospect, Cuffe Jr. leads a high-major recruitment with nearly 20+ programs in the mix vying for the 6-foot-2 combo-guard’s talent.

“Every program is just letting me know that they love my game and I am very exciting to watch. I bring tons of energy and that’s great,” Cuffe Jr. said on college coaches pitches.

Amongst the schools involved: St. John’s, Hoftsra, UConn, Iona, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, UCLA, Providence, Texas A&M, Kansas State, Rutgers, Bryant, Georgetown, Georgia, and some others.

He also just landed his first blue blood offer, not a surprise.

“I recently picked up an offer from Kansas,” he said. Along with the Jayhawks being one of the newer programs in the mix, Cuffe Jr. also says he has been in recent contact with Auburn and West Virginia, expanding his suitors list even more.

I asked Cuffe Jr. to describe his game and he says ‘It’s simple’

“My game is real simple. I will guard you non-stop, I am aggresive, I can knock down shots offensively and I’ll keep attacking you.”

We ended the discussion talking about how COVID-19 impacted Cuffe Jr. and his process. He said that it has been ‘tough’ mostly because he has no clue when he will play have to play next.
