Despite missing his entire sophomore season with a broken wrist, Jameel Brown is in a much better place and is being recruited by plenty of high-major programs. The 6-foot-3 guard out of Haverford (PA.), led his team to an undefeated mark of 28-0 his freshman season and was a participant at USA Basketball’s U16 mini-camp.

College coaches should look at his injury as a thing of the past and Brown says he feels much better since recovering from his injury and he does lead himself quite the busy recruitment.

Temple, Ohio State, Purdue, Marquette, Indiana, Villanova, Auburn, UPenn, Stanford are involved,” Brown said.

In addition, he adds that he’s received new interest from UConn, UCLA, Miami, and Xavier.

He broke down four of the programs amongst the list of schools prioritizing him with Stockrisers.com:

Purdue: “Head coach Matt Painter is building a good relationship with me, they've been contacting me all year even through my injury.”

Xavier: “Coach [Travis] Steele saw me play recently at the Team Final camp, and he was really impressed with my game. We are working on setting up a zoom meeting with the staff.”

Temple: “I have a really good relationship with Coach McKie. We are both from North Philly. Spoke with him a lot, they want me to come in and make a huge impact.”

Ohio State: “Had a zoom meeting with their staff. They have the guys they need in the 2021 class. They need one guard from my class to come in and make an instant impact.”

Even though he is entering his junior season, Brown is in no rush to make a college decision and doesn’t really believe in making a timetable to decide. He says ‘when the time is right and I feel like there is just one school, then I’ll decide’
