Lancaster point guard Wade Taylor IV is one of the more ‘under-the-radar’ prospects in the 2021 class. He holds offers and interests from Texas A&M, Texas, SMU, North Texas, Vanderbilt, Iona, Virginia Tech, SFA, Colorado State, amongst others.
“I really have a great relationship with [Texas] A&M, they’ve been recruiting me pretty hard for a while, so has SFA and SMU. I just continue to build better relationships with the schools everyday to see which one will be the best fit.”
COVID-19 most certainly got in the way of a possible breakout for him this summer during AAU basketball, but, it hasn’t stopped him from working out and developing his game. All it has effected is his recruiting process.
“With the COVID-19 going on, it threw a lot of my decisions off track. I plan on making some decisions if we do not get to play this summer but until then I will just continue to enjoy the process and stay humble about it all.”
In addition, Taylor IV has been hearing from new programs every single day, he says. Among the new programs: “I’ve been hearing from new schools everyday. I’ve talked to Clemson, Ole Miss, Creighton, Arizona, etc.”
He has also completed several virtual visits and will even complete two today. Buzz Williams and Texas A&M and his staff will complete one for the second straight week, Taylor IV told Stockrisers.com. In addition, Iona’s Rick Pitino will virtual meet with him tonight.
