Top-60 junior Jordan Hawkins discusses his recruitment, new programs involved

DeMatha Catholic [MD] has produced some of the top-rated guards in the DMV over the past few years. Next up? Jordan Hawkins. According to 247Sports, he’s rated as the No. 60 prospect in the 2021 class in the outlets composite rankings. Amongst his offers are Louisville, Marquette, Seton Hall, Xavier, LSU, Wake Forest, Clemson, amongst others.

In addition, Hawkins told that Georgia and Memphis have interest but no offer is there yet.

He went in-depth on his recruitment and broke down some [many] of the programs involved in his recruitment.

Georgetown: “Coach Ewing and the other coaches have been in touch a lot. We recently did a zoom call and it went well.”

Louisville: “Coach Mack and I have been in touch a lot, we’re building a relationship. I did a zoom call about two weeks ago.”

Xavier: “They’ve got really good coaches over there. They’ve been in contact for a long time now. I also completed a zoom call with their staff.”

Seton Hall: “Coach Willard and Coach Skinn have been in contact for a long time. They’re good guys and we have been on a couple of zoom calls and facetimes, plus we planned a visit before the virus came. Also, Coach Skinn is from my area so we have a good bond.”

Marquette: “They have also been in contact for awhile and all of the coaches I know pretty well, talk to them a lot.”

Clemson: “Coach Goins has been in contact. I talk with him a lot, he’s another guy from my area so i’ve got some things in common with him.”

Creighton: “I’ve been on a zoom call with Coach McDermott and the other coaches, it went well. They have a great program.”

He also placed his thoughts on Pittsburgh and UConn, saying he completed zoom calls with those staffs and they are in consistent contact. Plus, George Washington is another local program on him. He said that the GW staff is a great staff.

Also said LSU and Wake Forest, who are his most recent offers, are building relationships with him and as far as LSU goes they will virtually visit with him on Thursday.
