This year, Johnathan Lawson bolstered his recruitment and created a name for himself after winning Tennessee’s Gatorade Player of the year.
The brother of Oregon’s Chandler Lawson, Johnathan has made a name for himself and leads a national recruitment.
His brothers squad, Oregon, became one of Lawson’s first scholarship offers extended this Spring.
“Alabama, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Mizzou, Tulane, LSU, Arkansas, Indiana, Nebraska, Syracuse and USC, are also involved,” Lawson told Stockrisers.com.
Due to his breakout coming just recently and this season, Lawson wasn’t really able to take his visits so he has taken advantage of the new virtual visit tool that coaches have been using.
“I’ve taken virtual visits with Arkansas and Iowa State,” he said.
Another school who has increased their recruitment in Lawson? the local school, Memphis. Penny Hardaway talked with him on the phone last night and will now begin recruiting him.
“I’m a playmaker for sure. You could compare me to Lamelo, Penny for sure. I’m a big guard.”
