After reopening his recruitment from Wichita State the other day, 2020 wing JaDun Michael instantly heard from 20+ programs.
Now, he’s cut down his list to eight schools, he told Stockrisers.com: Texas A&M, Virginia, Penn State, East Carolina, Cincinnati, Elon, Pittsburgh and NC State.
He broke down his finalists.
Texas A&M: They got Buzz Williams, everybody know that he’s a really good coach, his first year in the SEC he won coach of the year.
Virginia: They really develop their players. The flaws you have when you go there you won’t have them when you leave there.
Penn State: My relationship with Coach Freeman is amazing. It’s bigger than basketball with them, they have my best interest in whatever.
Cincinnati: They really like me as a player. They have been there for a really long time now, and have really built a relationship with my mom and dad.
NC State: Its about an hour away from home. Just playing for Coach Keatts, is something not most people get to do. Then you add in the potential of the team next year, and the year after that, it’s just like dang, I could possibly be apart of something special.
ECU: Coach Dooley has been on me hard since I’ve opened my recruitment. He has been very consistent, and he truly believes that I can have an amazing career at ECU, and reach my goal if I was to go there.
Pittsburgh: They’re an extremely tuff and gritty team and I like that. Playing for Jeff Capel would be crazy, it wouldn’t seem real at all.
Elon: It’s 10-15 minutes away from my actual house. There hasn’t been a day I haven’t heard from them. They feel that I can make an instant impact, and help make them special. The relationship that they have with my parents is also amazing.
