Five-star guard Isa Silva rose onto the scene in 2019 and found himself progressing every time he hit the court. The 6-foot-3 guard out of Jesuit first spoke with Stockrisers.com over two years ago as an unranked prospect, now, Silva finds himself with five-stars ranked amongst the Top-30 juniors and drawing himself a national recruitment.
“Stanford, Arizona, Arkansas, Oregon and Texas are amongst the ones that i’ve spoken with,” Silva said.
Stanford’s Jerod Hasse: “We have been in contact for a while now and he’s always welcomed me like family and believes I’d make a major impact right away,” Silva said on his relationship with the Stanford head coach.
Arizona’s Sean Miller: “I visited Arizona last year and we’ve built our relationship since. He is all about point guards and believes I can help Arizona be great,” Silva said on his relationship with the Arizona head coach.
Texas’ Shaka Smart: “They were my last offer and he has built a strong relationship with me and loves how we both see the game the same way,” Silva said on his relationship with the Texas head coach.
Arkansas’ Eric Musselman: “[Muss] was originally at Nevada and has been watching me for a while. He always texts me on gamedays and checks in about how they did also how I’ve been playing,” Silva said on his relationship with the Arkansas’ head coach.
As far as visits, Silva was able to visit Texas prior to this recent national pandemic, before speaking on his visit to Texas, Silva had some words about the recent Corona Virus outbreak: “This virus is crazy and I’m praying for everyone who has been effected by it. It’s such a bad thing to witness and many peoples lives are being messed with.”
Recapping the Texas visit: “Texas was very fun and me and coach Shaka Smart have a very good relationship. We can talk basketball for hours and I’m excited to have that relationship with him.
Silva’s next steps will be sitting down with his family and talk about maybe moving his commitment up to the Spring due to all that is currently going on with the Outbreak. When speaking on it, he did say that he’s been able to workout during this and that it has helped his game and bringing him back to the basics and just regular workouts.
