Kerwin Walton is one of the nation’s top shooters, especially in the 2020 class. It resulted in him garnering a high-major recruitment which includes offers from North Carolina, Texas, Creighton, and many other programs.
Walton is one of a handful Top-100 seniors that has yet to make a college decision and with the recent outbreak that has occurred, Walton has put his focus on his college decision.
“I’m figuring out a date to make a decision now. Before our games got cancelled I didn’t really put too much thought into it until now,” Walton told Stockrisers.com.
In September/October, Walton took official visits to Arizona and North Carolina, two programs who remain involved. In addition, an unofficial to Creighton occurred around that time as well.
With that, who’s still involved?
“The schools that have still been recruiting me hard is Arizona, Creighton, Minnesota, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, and UNC.”
Walton said that Georgetown was the latest school to reach out and inquire which was on January 3rd when they extended an offer. Patrick Ewing watched him and met with him on February 24th.
“I was thinking about visiting Georgetown because I haven’t seen them. They are the only school I haven’t seen but I’m looking to see if I have the opportunity to visit.”
He’s yet to make a decision date but said that he will have something regarding his recruitment soon, whether it’s a final list or a potential decision, but, he remains undecided right now.
