The nation has been struck by the Corona Virus outbreak. Condolences to those who’ve lost friends or family and/or know people struggling with COVID-19. As far as sports go, basically every sporting event and seasons have been cancelled.
Yesterday, the NCAA cancelled all Spring championships. NBA, MLB, NHL, and all major sports have been cancelled. The big one? March Madness. The NCAA even took players off of the court today prior to games then just cancelled everything.
As far as recruiting, the coaches agreed on a recruiting freeze that will run through April. Due to this all on campus and off campus visits have been cancelled, including all official visits for Donovan Williams.
The four-star senior was slated to visit Oklahoma State next weekend then the following two weekends was slated at Kansas State and Texas in that respective order.
He told Stockrisers.com on Thursday night that his visits are all ‘cancelled’ due to the Corona Virus outbreak.
Prior to these visits, he took unofficial visits to all programs except Texas. In addition, he took two visits to Kansas and an unofficial visit to Texas A&M. As far as his future plans, he has no clue what he will do.
Top-60 senior Cliff Omoruyi who recently announced a final-three schools of Arizona State, Rutgers and Auburn is slated to announce his college decision within ‘the next month or so’ and will keep things rolling that way, he told Stockrisers.com
In addition, five-star junior Zion Harmon who is down to Kansas, Maryland, Murray State, Western Kentucky and Seton Hall, will make his slated college decision on March 24th.
He told Stockrisers.com on Thursday afternoon that he will continue his plans and announce on that day. This is significant because although Harmon told us in an interview last month it’s ‘unlikely’ he reclassifies to 2020, many have said it’s still possible.
