Four-star junior Jaden Akins talks his recruitment

Jaden Akins is one of the nation’s most explosive guards standing at around 6-foot-4. Playing with The Family during the spring and summer sessions, he looks to prove his worth as one of the top guards in his class.

He’s drawn himself a national recruitment lead by many programs including a handful from the Big 10 with the Michigan Wolverines being the most recent from the conference to get involved.

“Michigan is the newest school to offer me,” Akins said.

In addition, he listed Michigan State, Northwestern, Mizzou, Mississippi State, DePaul and Michigan as they programs currently on him the hardest.

How does Jaden Akins describe himself on a scouting report?

“I feel like I’m a play making guard that can score and defend, and also make plays for others around me.”

What’s next for the guard from Farmington, Michigan. He doesn’t expect to cut his list in the near future with new programs expected to get involved and many schools pushing for his talents.

Also, he doesn’t have any visits planned at the moment but most recently visited Michigan State for their senior day matchup against Ohio State.
