DaRon Holmes has been one of the more efficient players in the nation this year producing numbers for his Millenium squad which is currently the top-ranked team in the state of Arizona, according to the Arizona Republic.
With Holmes’s production on the court skyrocketing, I asked him for a bit of a comparison of his game to another player, his answer: Pascal Siakam.
Why? “Small ball four. I try to run the floor and be a great defender and do my job on the court and try to get victories for my team,” he said. After discussing his recent on-court play, we discussed his recruitment which has bolstered this season due to his success on the court.
“The schools that are on me hard are Arizona, Texas Tech, Virginia, USC, Wake Forest, Arizona State, Gonzaga [no offer], and others.” With a long list of schools on his radar, Holmes hasn’t currently set any visits as he is still focused on the season and trying to figure out what schools he will visit.
As far as a timetable on a college decision, he says that he will likely decide his college choice later on in the year. In addition, there’s been some talk of a potential reclassification for him but he clears the air and says “[I’m] probably not going to reclassify.”
