Millard North’s Hunter Sallis moved up 27 spots to No. 20 overall in Rivals’ latest top 150. He becomes one of the highest-rated players in the state’s history and has drawn an insane amount of national attention.
Sallis is currently in contact and being target by nearly 20 programs, yes, 20 programs.
“I’ve been talking to Iowa State, Oregon, Marquette, Kansas, Iowa, Gonzaga, UConn, Cal Berkley, Alabama, Arkansas, Mizzou, Ohio State, Nebraska, Creighton, and Ole Miss,” Sallis said, and that was just to name a few.
He’s visited schools like Nebraska and Creighton, those being the local schools but he says that he’s currently working on one visit that is close to being confirmed with a date.
“I’m supposed to visit Louisville sometime this month, but that’s it for now.”
Along with the Cardinals, he listed UCLA as being one of the schools that are in contact but haven’t extended a scholarship offer yet.
Marquette and Oklahoma State are the newest programs involved. The Golden Eagles sent an assistant in recently and eventually offered Sallis, adding to his already long list of offers.
I don’t expect Sallis to have a decision anytime soon unless he really falls in love with a school, due to the fact that so many programs are heavily targeting him.
Oregon sent an assistant in yesterday and several other schools will follow suit and send staff in this month.
