Kendall Brown opted to take the prep school route and announced this summer that he’d be attending Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas, a school that’s usually one of the national powerhouses.
Led by Brown, they’ve been showing that as of late. They suffered their first loss of the season [13-1] when they lost by two at the recent City Of Palms tournament. Even though he wasn’t happy about the outcome, Brown played phenomenal.
“Oh yeah, just taking the game slower and getting easier shots for me and my teammates have been great and my recent work on my shot is showing on the floor,” Brown told Stockrisers.com on his recent play.
He was named to the all-tournament team of City Of Palms and also left Florida with a new offer from Vanderbilt.
While on the topic of the new offer, Brown and I discussed his recruitment and he listed along with the new Vandy offer, his new scholarship offer from Ohio State who he listed as a ‘new program involved’ in his recruitment.
As far as who’s involved and on him hard, Brown listed the following schools:
“Marquette, Minnesota, Ohio State, Arkansas, Maryland, Kansas and Baylor. Just saying how they’re going to use me and telling me what they have to offer to help me on the next level.”
In addition, he’s visited Marquette officially which is a visit he enjoyed. Also took an unofficial visit to Kansas when they played against Milwaukee which is the current program in which Kendall’s brother Courtney plays for.
Brown said that he’d like to visit Ohio State along with Minnesota and several other schools. Right now he’s focused on his season, no visits are planned as of right now.
